William Shakespeare

This week, we were learning about William Shakespeare. He was an English poet and playwright. He was considered the greatest English-Language writer and one of the best playwrights in the world. I made a DLO about William Shakespeare and his life. One of his famous plays is Macbeth and this play was about Macbeth who wants to believe in the 3 witches that he is going to be the king and killed MacDonald and his best friend and become a king but when everybody knows his secret they had a battle and Macbeth was dead. Macbeth is a tragedy by William Shakespeare; it is thought to have been first performed in 1606. It dramatizes the damaging physical and psychological effects of political ambition on those who seek power for its own sake. I learned interesting facts about him. I had fun learning about him.

My favorite Cultural Celebration

Let me tell you about “8 March” or “International Women’s Day”; it’s a happy and beautiful holiday. It is a good tradition in my country (Russia and Kazakhstan) to give presents and flowers to women on this day. Each family celebrates this spring holiday. In the morning men go to the shops or markets to buy some flowers. They try to clean home and help women to cook a holiday dinner.
Sons and daughters help their mothers too: they make a cake, prepare small presents for their mothers and grandmothers, serve the table and wash dishes after holiday dinner.
All the members of the families try to be well dressed on this day.
Some families celebrate 8 March going to the theaters, restaurants or concerts.
Others prefer to invite guests and stay at home.
On this day, festive events take place all over the country; the streets are decorated, much free delicious foods, and in the evening in each city of the country they arrange a grandiose salute.

This week, on writing, we've been learning about Commas. Where and how to put them, this is a very important topic, so you need to take it seriously. We used commas to separate the dialogue, before fanboys and making a list.

Yesterday me and my Mum went to shopping. My mum bought me a fashion dress. My mum lost her “Mascara”, it is thing for eyelashes and she was very sad. I started to search it like a “flash”.I found it, and was very happy. Mum made mash potato for dinner, it was very tasty and nice.

Should New Zealand ban plastic straws?

Plastic straws for decomposition take 200 years.

Plastic is very harmful to the planet. It pollutes the oceans, seas, harms animals. There are a lot of pictures of wounded animals. think you need to get rid of it.

Plastic is a very bad and unhealthy thing. We must ban it, and we need to start doing it right now!

Plastic straws that are known to contain harmful chemicals. Could you let your family put harmful chemicals in their mouths? I think that it is not only dangerous, but also unhealthy. 100,000 marine creatures a year die from plastic entanglement and these are the ones found. Approximately 1 million sea birds also die from plastic. A plastic bag can kill numerous animals because they take so long to disintegrate.

I cannot imagine life without animals! Partly we live thanks to them, to nature. Plastic is harmful not only for people, but also for animals. Plastic straws fall into the nose of turtles, animals fall into plastic bags. It's horrible!

Every time you get a disposable straw, it eventually gets thrown away. Many of these straws, along with other plastic trash, ends up in the ocean, where it can harm or kill sea turtles and other marine wildlife. Straws can get up a sea turtle's nose, or a sea turtle can eat the straw, because it thinks it's food

Many people do not take this seriously. This is like a joke. And this is disgusting! After all, they can save our planet! If we continue to relate to nature, animals, then our planet will be doomed! This is sad, but you need to take it seriously.

Chemicals added to plastics are absorbed by human bodies. Some of these compounds have been found to alter hormones or have other potential human health effects. Plastic debris, laced with chemicals and often ingested by marine animals, can injure or poison wildlife.

I personally think that people should give an example. That is, if someone begins to seriously develop this topic, then others will begin.

Should NZ ban Plastic straws?

This week we created a DLO about the plastic straws which is Should we ban them or shouldn't we ban them. I even don't know what to say. It's so disgusting, when people don't care about our planet, animals. Over the past week, I started to take this very seriously. I don't understand people what kind of joke is this, it's too mean. Now it is necessary to start doing something, and I am very proud of my family, because we are actively doing this.
